Privacy Policy

Effective September 27, 2026 · Last updated October 1, 2026

The short version

  • Right now OkayKin is a waitlist. We collect your email, the option you pick ("for a parent", "for me", "someone else"), and basic, anonymous visit information.
  • We use it only to tell you about OkayKin and to learn which parts of this page work.
  • We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
  • You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@okaykin.com.
  • This policy covers this website and waitlist only. The OkayKin app isn't available yet. It will have its own, more detailed policy before launch, and we'll email you before it applies to you.

Who we are

OkayKin ("OkayKin", "we", "us") runs okaykin.com and any page that links to this policy. We're based in California, USA. You can reach us at hello@okaykin.com.

What we collect

Who it's for (parent, yourself, someone else)You, when you pick an option on the formTo understand who OkayKin is most useful for and send you relevant updates
Whether you reserved the founding priceYou, when you use the "Reserve founding price" formTo honor that price when the Family plan opens. No payment is taken.
A random visitor ID and which version of the page you sawYour browser, stored on your device (browser local storage)To show you the same version of the page each visit and compare which version works better. It doesn't contain your name or email on its own, but if you join the waitlist we store it with your email, so your visits and clicks on this site are linked to you.
Whether you'd like to do a short feedback callYou, when you tap the call button after joiningTo email you once to pick a time for a 15-minute call
Page visits and button clicks, the page you came from, and campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source)Your browser, automaticallyTo learn which videos, posts and page sections bring people here
Technical data such as IP address, browser type and time of requestAutomatically, through our hosting and font providers' standard server logsTo deliver the site securely and keep it running. We don't use it to identify you.

We don't collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, or any health information on this website. Please don't send us sensitive information through the waitlist.

How we share information

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as California law defines that term. We use a small number of service providers who process data only on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of OkayKin. In a sale, the buyer would have to keep honoring this policy for information collected under it.

Cookies, local storage and tracking

This site doesn't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. It stores three small values in your browser's local storage: a random visitor ID, the page version you were shown, and whether you've already answered the call question. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

Do Not Track: because we don't track you across other websites, we treat all visitors the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We don't allow third parties to track you across websites through this site.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can email hello@okaykin.com to:

We'll respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on the waitlist, so we don't hand your information to someone else. We won't treat you differently for making a request.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, you have the rights described above. California's Consumer Privacy Act also gives residents the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using those rights. We don't sell or share personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of, but we honor all of these requests from California residents regardless of whether the Act applies to a business of our current size. You can also ask someone you authorize to make a request for you.

Children

OkayKin isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), database access rules that let this website add waitlist entries but never read them back, and restricted admin access. No system is perfectly secure, so we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your information, as the law requires.

Where your information is stored

Your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you visit from outside the US, you understand your information will be handled under US law and this policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is material, for example using your information in a new way or sharing it with a new kind of third party, we'll email you before it takes effect, and it won't apply to information we already collected unless you agree.
